Zovirax Duo Tablet is an antiviral medication for treatment of Herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes (Herpes Simplex virus, Herpes retivus, and Zovirax). It is used to lower the severity and duration of outbreaks of genital herpes, varicella-zoster virus, cytomegalovirus, and other infections in adults and children (Herpes Simplex Virus, Herpes simplex virus, cytomegalovirus, and varicella-zoster) in the bone and the skin.
Zovirax Duo Tablet works by interfering with the virus’s ability to replicate and hence reduces its replication, severity of symptoms, and duration of outbreaks. It is not a cure for infections.
The active ingredient in Zovirax Tablet is Aciclovir. It belongs to the group of medications called Antivirals. Zovirax Tablet is a herpes simplex virus (HSV) drug, and it is used to treat both acute and chronic forms of the infections.
Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) is a disease that causes fever and difficulty breathing. Varicella-zoster virus is a viral infection transmitted through the skin secretion of a hormone called varicella. Other viruses can also transmit through the skin.
Other infections can also have symptoms.
Zovirax Tablet is not a herpes or viral drug. It is a prodrug drug. It is converted into aciclovir during metabolism and excipients are needed. Zovirax Tablet is a antiviral in a short period of time.
Zovirax Tablet works by stopping the replication of the virus, thereby treating the infection and easing symptoms.
Take this medication by mouth as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage is one tablet, taken one to two hours before a outbreaks or the symptoms of the infection.
For children under the age of 12, the dosage is one tablet twice a day. If the child is under 12 years of age, the dosage may be one tablet a day or one to three times a day. It is important not to exceed the maximum daily dosage of 1000 mg.
Zovirax Tablet should be taken with water as it can decrease the effectiveness of the medication. It is usually prescribed as a Cold and Flu Relief ( Choua Science - Original Medicine, http:// Choua.org/ Medicine.html ) or as an Infectious Disease Injection.
The length of treatment of genital herpes: 5 to 10 days.
The duration of the outbreaks: 5 to 10 days.
The symptoms of STIs (like fever, chills, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, stuffy nose, mouth, or sinuses) include abdominal pain with or without fever: abdominal pain, sweating, a stuffy nose, or a sore throat.
The dosage of Zovirax Tablet for treating chickenpox: One 800 mg tablet twice a day for 1-2 weeks.
The dosage of Zovirax Tablet for treating genital herpes: One 800 mg tablet twice a day for 1-2 weeks.
Take this medication by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. One tablet of Zovirax Tablet (500 mg) 3 times a day can decrease the effectiveness of the medication and also easing the symptoms of the infection.
The dosage is one tablet of Zovirax Tablet (500 mg) 3 times a day in the following 2 ways:
If the child is 12 years of age or older, the dosage may be one tablet a day or one to three times a day.
If the child is younger than 12 years of age, the dosage may be one tablet a day or one to three times a day.
Zovirax Cold Sore Cream contains the antiviral medicineZovirax. Zovirax Cold Sore Cream can helptemporarily speed up the healing of cold sores. This medicine is only available when prescribed by your doctor. You must have a doctor’s prescription to purchase this product.
Zovirax Cold Sore Cream should be applied in the affected area once daily. Do not apply it more often than directed. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after applying Zovirax Cold Sore Cream. Do not use a kitchen teaspoon while you are using this medicine unless directed by your doctor. Zovirax is an antiviral for use on the skin. It is used to treat cold sores, a viral infection occurring on the lips. When treatment is started at the first sign (tingle) of a cold sore, it prevents the cold sore from appearing. It can also limit the severity of cold sores and speed up the healing process.
Warnings:
If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Do not use if you are pregnant unless your doctor advises you.

Directions:
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. It is important to start treatment at the first sign of a cold sore (the tingling, itching, buming stage). 1. Wash and dry hands thoroughly. 2. Apply a small amount directly onto the cold sore. Rub in gently until all the cream disappears. Do not apply this medicine inside the mouth. 3. Wash hands again. Unless otherwise directed, use this medicine five times a day for 5 days, even if the cold sore begins to heal. If the cold sore has not healed after 5 days, continue treatment for another 5 days. Contact your doctor if the cold sore has not healed in ten days. While using your medicine, if you forget to use this medicine, apply it as soon as you remember then go back to using it as you would normally. Missed doses will mean this medicine is less effective. If you feel this medicine is not working or if your condition gets worse, contact your doctor as soon as possible. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. Replace cap firmly after use.
